New York, New York!

Hello. I haven't written here in a while - so here's my update:

Q1Media:
Well I had a good week. We had a sales competition yesterday and I won! I got a $50 gift card, $25 to Starbucks and $10 to Target. Suh-weet. I will definitely put all of that to good use. It also revved me up again and got me out of my slump. I'm ready to hit it hard again and get some new deals.

I also was just told they're going to be transitioning me to some New York accounts! So my territories now are: Canada, UK, Southeast and some New York agencies. Whew! I'm going to be busy. But, I like being busy and I'm ready to land some great new IOs! I need to feed my shopping addiction. And since I'll be visiting NYC in January - I need some new coats and sweaters!

Love:
Going strong - as always. David and I have been together about a year and a half now - wowzas! that's so long for me. But it's been great. We all have our ups and downs, but somehow we've made it this far. We've got ACL coming up, his 23rd birthday and then VEGAS for Ashley's wedding at the Mandalay Bay. October is going to be FANTASTIC.

Life:
I moved into my new apartment and I'm still getting it fixed up and decorated. But I love it so far. I live next to my good friends so we're always cooking dinners. Tonight is Fried Rice and Spring Roll night!

Parent's are doing well. Daddy's still fighting hard. I miss him terribly and need to go visit Dallas soon. He's got his good days and his bad days. I just wish he was like other PD patients that can still run and bike and swim. He's definitely gotten it worse than the others and it's hit him hard. I think I avoid home a lot b/c I cant bear seeing him like that. I wish there was a freaking cure. My parents have had it so hard in their lives - why this? why now? why us? okay I'll stop being emo...but I just want to give a big F U to PD!

I'm so proud of my friends - Ali just landed a fantastic job, Cojoe's doing her thang. Lana's almost done w/ Pharm school and Dana's kickin ass as always. It's exciting to see us doing well because we had always talked about our futures and where we'd end up. Seems like things are going as planned for us!

The big Tech game is this weekend - cant wait! We'll be partying DT and then at the game, then Anita's bday dinner. It's going to be a good weekend!

Toronto

Hello from Toronto! So I came here to meet with the agencies and planners I have been working with. I've had meetings the past two days and it's been fantastic. I've met with PHD Networks, Initiative, Mediacom, Cossette and OMD. All of the planners were wonderful and very friendly.

And it's been a very good week for me - closed some pretty solid deals! I hope the trend keeps going.

I'm really excited to be here because it's been one of my dreams to be able to travel for work. I remember seeing other women in business suits and wanting so much to be like them and to have that life. And here I am. In Toronto, in a fabulously chic boutique hotel, doing business! Its just the first step in my career and there's so much more to learn. I'm really excited to see where my career will take me. And I'm so very thankful for my company for sending me out here and believing in me. Heck - I'm only 22 yrs old!

It's just a really great feeling to be walking the streets of Toronto alone and knowing I made it. I am doing what I had wanted to do. And I also smile knowing there is so much more to learn, live and do!

Thanks for all the support and love from my friends and family as well. I'll post pics soon.

Toronto Bound

So my bosses informed me they want to send me to Toronto for client meetings! So I'm scheduled to go July 28-30/31st! How exciting!!

I'll finally get to meet my planners up there at PHD, OMD, Mediacom, Mindshare and more. I've got a lot of prep to do before the big week, but I'm confident that the trip will be a great one.

I've never been to Toronto, so this will be a new and exciting experience for me. I'm so happy. Wish me Luck!

He's truly my rock and I love him for it!!!! I've been goin through a lot w/ my dad being sick and it hasn't been easy. Thank God he's been there and I pray my father gets better!

Tired

I'm tired of always being a failure to my mom.

No matter what I do - she will always find something about me to bitch about. It never ends.

David got me these Ray-Bans for my birthday and I LOVE them. The glasses and the case remind me of my daddy's old ones. I'm really glad I have these. Thanks David! <3

I'm excited about my birthday - Lunch w/ Q1Media at Hula Hut, then dinner at The Oasis with the besties! Then off to Houston then Galveston for the weekend on the beach.
